Kimmoi

The common tongue of the Islands, the local "Arabic". Spoken by almost 40%of people across all of the Islands, this is the one common force that still binds a large proportion of the people together.

In any region both the Al-bandi and the Al-Hadar will speak the same tongue, but some of the Islands still use their local tongue in favor of the "Imperial trade talk" that became the defacto language of the old Empire.

Sometimes also known to outsiders as Midani, though islanders frown upon their ancient tongue being referred to simply as "The Middle Language"

Kimmoi is a more dangerous language then some would think. Many foreigners are offended by the pronouciation of certain terms. That is why most smart people just ignore foreigners. Foreigners think they are being rude, but they are just being safe.
